Doctors remove pen parts from teen's lungs in India

A TEENAGER in Karnataka, India, who has been suffering from persistent cough, was shocked to find out there were pen parts lodged in her lungs, reported Malaysia Nanban.

Medical specialists checking the 19-year-old found several parts of a pen lodged deep in her lung tissue.

The parts had caused significant damage to her lungs as well as infections and coughs with smelly discharge.

Doctors at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bangalore removed the parts in an operation.
